    Butch Jones is his own worst enemy from a PR standpoint. For him to just say “I made a mistake” when he makes a coaching or game management error would go a long way in helping his credibility—both with the fans and the media. Also, showing some true emotion and candor in his responses rather than answering questions with “coach speak” would go a long way. Generally, fans are growing weary of his Sgt Carter bravado.

    I agree. Remember when everyone used to say “Butch gets it”? I don’t think Butch gets it anymore. If he would drop the cliches, show a little humility, his relationship with the media, the fans and everyone else would be much better right now.
